Outlook 2020 is an outward-looking, non-partisan initiative that seeks to draw on the rich sources of knowledge and expertise available to the Business Council. The project consists of a four part Summit Series, building on the themes and topics raised in a series of 28 research papers commissioned by the Business Council over the past year. The papers cover almost every aspect of the provincial economy and highlight a handful of key cross-cutting issues and themes. (more...) With the first three Chapters of the Summit Series complete and most of the 28 Outlook 2020 topic papers done, the Business Council and its advisers will spend late 2009 and the early months of 2010 working on a 2020 Road Map for British Columbia. This major synthesis report will draw on the insights and discussion from the Summit Series, the papers commissioned by the Business Council, and other ongoing research and analysis. The synthesis report will form the basis for the concluding Chapter Four of the Outlook 2020 Summit Series, to be held on Friday, April 23, 2010.
