Note - The Business Council of British Columbia believes Stanley Park is an important Vancouver landmark. As you travel around and through the park, you see large numbers of trees that were damaged and destroyed by the storm that hit the park in December, 2006. At the recent Pacific Economic Summit, the Business Council used 50 live trees as decoration for the occasion and following the event, the Business Council donated the trees to Stanley Park. The Vancouver Park Board has arranged for the trees to be planted within the Stanley Park Pitch and Putt Golf Course.
Hosted by the Business Council of British Columbia, the Pacific Economic Summit has been created to bring together business leaders in British Columbia and our province's key trading partners from around the world. Each conference will look at how the business community can play a positive role in helping to address some of the common challenges and opportunities facing both jurisdictions. 2007 marked the inaugural year of the conference.
