BCBC’s NEXTGen is a program for emerging leaders in Business Council of B.C. member organizations.

It brings together early- and mid-career professionals (roughly ages 25–40) who are:

  • curious about B.C.’s economy and public policy

  • looking to build leadership skills and clear career pathways

  • interested in growing cross-sector networks beyond their own organization

More about NEXTGen

  • NEXTGen is open to professionals at BCBC member organizations who are typically in the early to mid stages of their careers (roughly ages 25–40).

You don’t need a background in economics or public policy to join!

  • The program runs throughout the year and includes:

    • Four events annually, primarily in person (with virtual options when possible)

    • A mix of speaker sessions, panels, and networking

    • Occasional site visits to BCBC member companies

    • Sessions designed to be accessible, practical, and engaging

Participants are encouraged to attend regularly to get the most value from the program.

  • NEXTGen members can be nominated by someone within their organization. Individuals from BCBC member companies can also register their interest using the link at the bottom of this page.
