BCBC Statement on LNG Phase 2 Announcement

BCBC celebrates today’s final investment decision on LNG Canada Phase 2. We congratulate the joint venture partners for their work to bring this project forward. 

This is great news for British Columbia and for Canada. It represents a major investment that will create high-paying jobs, generate significant government revenues, diversify our trading relationships, and bring Canada closer to realising its potential as a global energy superpower.  

Now it’s time to build on that momentum. B.C. must be a place where businesses of all sizes, across all industries, can invest, grow and create jobs, and where projects of all sizes have a clearer and more predictable path from proposal to construction.
